Mount stability checked, not only telescope aperture
Eyepieces, finder, collimation, and power needs understood
I have asked an experienced observer before paying

Trusted local shop or known community seller preferred
Warranty, return policy, and accessories confirmed
Too-good-to-be-true listing treated as suspect
